Capri
It is 1 hour far by ferry, daily departures from Positano pier. You will be enchanted by the magic atmosphere of this island that during the day is full of tourists walking around and in the evening become so different...quiet and peacefull. There are some places like Anacapri, the Natural Arch where tranquility reigns even during the day. The Marina Grande with the daily arrival of tourists during the day, is crowded like a block party, from there the funicular will take you directly to the famous square, the Via Camerelle and Tragara will take you on a leisurely stroll, boutiques and restaurants , at the Certosa di San Giacomo, an ancient monastery and the Gardens of Augustus, from where you can admire the Faraglioni and Via Krupp. Do not miss a visit to Villa Jovis, the famous villa of the Emperor Tiberius, the Blue Grotto and a chairlift to Monte Solaro in Anacapri from where you can admire the gulf of Naples.
Sorrento
It is about 30 minutes by car or by public bus and is also the nearest town. So many monuments and churches to visit but the most distinctive landmark is Via San Cesareo with the historic part of the city and its boutiques of wood works and masters of inlay. Piazza Tasso and Corso Italy, in the heart of the city, are the main shopping streets, do not miss a visit to the Villa di Pollio Felice and the ruins of the Roman Walls.
Pompei & Ercolano
The excavations are located about 45 minutes by car. It's an experience not to be missed, between the two Pompeii is bigger and you can make a full ride of the excavations in a couple of hours with the precious audio guides to be collected at the entrance. Tragically destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, this ancient Roman town has been preserved perfectly under the ash and lapilli, archaeological excavations have brought to light all its glory.
From March to October the excavations are open every day from 8:30 to 18:00 in the winter months until 16:00.
Napoli
It is 1 hour and 30 minutes far, a busy city like all big cities, the home of good food, a cuisine rich in flavors and colors that are reflected in everyday life. Throughout the year there are many events that glad the city with music and folklore. Do not miss a visit to the Archaeological Museum, the Church of Santa Chiara in the Spanish Quarter and the Castel Nuovo.
Praiano
From the church of St. Luke you can admire the coast untill Positano and Capri, it is a breathtaking view and a magic sunset.
Every year, since 1606, Praiano habitants used to decorate its balconies, terraces, gardens, squares with candles, about 2000 candles all around the city. This custom handed from 1599, when Dominican Monks came to the Monastery of Santa Maria a Castro, placed on the hill above Praiano."Luminaria di San Domenico" is an Event which comes true every year from August 1st to August 4th to celebrate San Domenico.On August 4th , very early in the morning (the first Mass is at 6.30 am), Praiano celebrates San Domenico's Festival.
"Luminaria di San Domenico" has a particular meaning: Domenico's Mother, before giving him birth, she dreamed a dog with a torch in his mouth to burn the world. So when Domenico was born he had to diffuse "God's word all over the world".
Amalfi
Amalfi's origin dates back to the first century A.C. when the Roman aristocracy built luxurious villas in this area. Soon Amalfi, and its surrounding towns, became refined and well developed communities. Amalfi prospered mainly because of the wealthy commerce opportunities with many other populations around the Mediterranean Sea. Amalfi owned a powerful fleet of ships, and had strong marine traditions, and laws (Tabula de Amalpha). Today, Amalfi still maintains its fishing traditions, and has a number of fully functional, traditional, fishing boats. Amalfitans are also very proud of one of their most famous mariners, Flavio Gioia, the inventor of the compass.
Amalfi's proud people gained their independence in 838 fighting against the Longobardi Empire. Unfortunately the Pisan army conquered Amalfi between the XI, and the XII century. The watch towers, which are still scattered around the coastline, stay as a charming and everlasting sign of these conflicts.

Furore
The painted town it is mainy some houses along the road overlooking the sea but the most important place to see is the Fjord of Furore located on ss road between Amalfi and Praiano, one of the most fascinating places on the coast, it is an ancient fishing village, you can have lunch at the restaurant Monazeno during the summer months and enjoy a unique tranquility. Preserve the charm of a fishing village and still now is keeping a strong fishing tradition. Among the typical products, Cetara tuna is prized up in Japan where it is used for sushi, do not forget the anchovies and the famous "Colatura di Alici" a specialty to be rediscovered. A typical dish of the culinary tradition are the Spaghetti with anchovy sauce.
